Installing Ora on Android? First check what the companion does

Choose whether you need to view your day or fully plan it

Ora’s public Google Play listing now presents an Android companion: it shows your personal sphere and offers quick actions. It is not the complete planner inside the phone. According to that listing, creating and editing spheres, routines, appointments and steps, and working with reports and integrations, remains on the web.

Before installing, separate two questions: what you want to do on the phone and what access it requires. Downloading is advertised as free, but account linking and connected actions require an existing Ora Pro account.

What the Android listing advertises

Checked on 26 October 2026: the official IliciLabs Google Play listing shows installation and describes a 24-hour sphere, persistent minimal view, actions when tapping a bubble and a resizable widget. It lists starting, stopping, logging minutes and marking an activity done.

The listing specifies Android 10 or later, explicit revocable pairing and no purchase processing in the companion. Check availability and compatibility on your device; a public listing does not certify that every model can install it or that a particular action worked on your hardware.

Prepare on the web what you want to consult later

Fictional example: tomorrow you want to consult an activity named “Review the draft” and log progress from your phone. First define the plan and review that activity on the web. If you need to reorganize routines, edit appointments or review reports, keep that work on the web: do not infer that an Android bubble includes all those tools.

Then check whether you have the Pro access required for pairing. If you choose the companion, check which account and day it displays before acting. Do not enter someone else’s data for a test. This is a proposed workflow, not pairing or synchronization verified by this guide.

A public listing does not complete validation

There is a discrepancy between public sources: the store listing exists, while the website’s feature record retains Android’s “validation” state and wording that still mentions pending publication. Do not use that older wording as proof that no listing exists, or the listing as proof of final acceptance on real devices.

The web documentation also warns that stale or offline actions need review. If the phone shows an unexpected day or state, check it before recording another action. This guide does not guarantee delivery, synchronization or offline operation.

Choose for the workflow you need

To try full planning, start with the public web demo and a fictional activity. To view your day and take quick actions on Android, check the official listing and Pro requirement before deciding. Do not buy expecting the companion to replace the web editor or remove the limits of features still under validation.
